Google Announces Shopping Feed Spec Updates

Google has announced several upgrades to the specifications for Product Taxonomy and Google Shopping Feeds, the majority of that will go into effect.

Here are the developments to the Shopping Feed specs:

Rather than needing to enter the whole Google Merchandise Type course, you need to use an ID from the brand new record of Google Merchandise Group IDs.
In america, Amount and Units characteristics are at present accessible for products.
Forms and clothing are now contained under a brand new section called Thing Groups and In-Depth Product Characteristics to help retailers describe their products with more detail.
There are tighter demands for ID and GTINs Aspects.
Transportation conditions, which empower the overall cost to demonstrate to users, is growing to the Czech Republic, Switzerland, the Netherlands, Italy, Spain, and Japan. Because getting that executed is more complicated for many retailers, the transport speed specs will not be applied until February 1, 2016.
The upgrades to the Item Taxonomy are recommendations, not requirements. Nevertheless, some classifications are retooled including Arts & Crafts, Decor, Hardware, Sporting Goods and Automobile Parts & Accessories. Several kid groupings have been removed, there are more classifications under Food, Beverages & Tobacco in addition to the classifications that are Mature.
